Ethics in Sex Therapy & Sexual Education
These courses explore diverse perspectives of ethics within sexuality education and sex therapy. Concepts range from foundational ethical concerns to more advanced scenarios, with an explicit focus on intersectionality, cultural humility, and serving marginalized and neurodivergent communities.
Learners will analyze ethical frameworks, apply them to real-world scenarios, and develop practical strategies for ethical decision-making, self-assessment, and inclusive practice in both sex education and sex therapy environments. Developmental Sexuality

Sociocultural & Familial Factors
The Sociocultural and Familial Factors knowledge area examines how culture, family systems, social identities, and community environments shape sexual attitudes, behaviors, and well-being.
Courses in this area emphasize the intersection of family values, religious beliefs, neurodivergence, socioeconomic status, stigma, and access to resources, preparing students to understand and address the diverse and complex influences on sexual health across different communities.
